Barrier Reef Pools is a well-known name in Perth and a friend of mine suggested them to me. After a bit of research, we got the quotes from BRP but unfortunately never progressed further. A year later we did more hunting and decided to go with another pool company trying to save a bit of money. Well, we didn't really save anything and in fact lost a deposit. After we signed a contract with that other pool company they discovered a limestone 100mm from the top and as it required quite an expensive dig plus our access was very limited we tried to pull out of the contract and had no luck even after submitting a complaint to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety. Both us and the pool company were at fault but nevertheless we expected a bit more diligence from that pool company, but they showed their worst side during this process. A year later when wounds were healed, we went straight to Barrier Reef Pools, after discussing the complications with Barrier Reef they were upfront with what it may cost to us. After a bit of negotiations, we signed a contract and never looked back. The dig required a bigger digger to be brought over the roof and Barrier Reef took it upon themselves to arrange. After a dig was done (it took three solid days of rock breaking and wheel barrowing it all out) we came to the day we've been waiting for, for a few years. Pool was installed, paved and we finally could get a swim in it. During the whole process Barrier Reef guys were amazing and I will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good quality pool, good tradesmanship and peace of mind that it will be done as expected.
