Completely Transformed

When pool owner Eric Lee tasked Barrier Reef Pools with removing an old circular vinyl pool and reducing his tiered garden to one level, all involved knew a significant transformation was on the cards.

Barrier Reef Pools Northside Managing Director Steve Patterson said landscape designer Outside In provided the conceptual design, while Barrier Reef Pools managed the project from start to finish.

“This included the removal of the old pool, the clearance of the yard and the installation of the new pool and its accompanying paving, tiling and surrounding fences,” he told New Homes.

Subcontractor Sunwise Outdoor Living constructed the stunning alfresco, while Diamond Glass Pool Fencing and Craftsman Fencing provided the accompanying enclosing structures.

A combination of contrasting textures and colours captured the essence of relaxed Mount Lawley in exceptional fashion, with the leafy garden providing the perfect backdrop to the serene area.

At the heart of the project, the finished pool from Barrier Reef Pools’ Monaco range, measured 7.5m long and 3.8m wide, with depths of 1.2m-1.7m.

Two multi-coloured LED lights lent some creativity to the overall design, making it a great option for the owners in the evenings.

“The pool was engineered to support the retaining wall to the eastern boundary, which was brick-built and clad in a random rock face,” Mr Patterson said.

With an in-ground blanket box, rebated travertine surrounded the finished pool’s edge, while French patterned travertine paving completed the other surrounding areas.
